GCSE Maths Tutor - Liverpool Location: Liverpool Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Are you a confident Maths Teacher or Tutor looking for flexible 1:1 tuition work? Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a GCSE Maths Tutor to support a learner in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be able to break down challenging concepts, identify gaps in knowledge and build the learner's confidence in Maths. Main Duties Provide high-quality 1:1 GCSE Maths tuition Assess the learner's existing knowledge and areas for development Plan lessons around individual learning objectives Reinforce key GCSE concepts and skills Use a range of engaging teaching methods and resources Track progress and provide constructive feedback About You Strong knowledge of GCSE Maths Previous teaching or tutoring experience Experience delivering 1:1 tuition is advantageous Ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles Positive and encouraging approach QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience desirable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy
