Year 1 Teacher – Part-Time Job Overview: Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire Salary: £180 – £230 per day Days: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Start Date: Next week or shortly after Contract: Long-term Job Type: Part-Time Year 1 Teacher – Leighton Buzzard – £180 to £230 per day Are you a qualified Primary Teacher or ECT looking for a new part-time teaching opportunity in Leighton Buzzard? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with a start date available next week or shortly afterwards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for a consistent part-time role within a supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities * Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to a Year 1 class. * Follow and deliver the KS1 curriculum effectively. * Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment. * Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils. * Monitor, assess and record pupil progress. * Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development. * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff. * Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management. * Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. Requirements * QTS or equivalent teaching qualification. * ECTs are welcome to apply. * Previous experience teaching within a primary school is desirable. * Experience working within KS1 / Year 1 is advantageous. * Strong knowledge of the Primary and KS1 curriculum. * Excellent communication and classroom management skills. * A positive, enthusiastic and committed approach to teaching. * Availability to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. * Ability to start next week or shortly afterwards.
