We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Technician to join their established operations in Huncote, Leicestershire. This HGV Technician role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to work across a diverse range of vehicles and equipment, including HGVs, trailers, and plant machinery. Benefits: Up to £23.00 per hour depending on experience, with weekly pay 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times (earlies or lates) Opportunities for career development and ongoing training Company pension scheme Health and wellbeing programme Life insurance at 3x annual salary Birthday leave Free on-site parking Uniform provided Learning and development opportunitiesDuties of a HGV Technician: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across HGVs, trailers, and plant equipment Conduct 6-weekly inspections and servicing of vehicles and trailers Perform preventative maintenance and MOT preparation as a HGV Technician Service and repair telehandlers, loading shovels, diggers, and other plant machinery Attend breakdowns, including roadside and customer site diagnostics as part of an on-call rota Replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, AdBlue systems, ABS, and electrical systems Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent Communicate effectively regarding repairs, parts requirements, and estimated completion times Follow all health and safety procedures at all timesRequirements of a HGV Technician: Minimum of 4 years' practical experience as an HGV and/or Plant Mechanic Experience working with multiple vehicle brands IRTEC certification would be advantageous  Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills Excellent attention to detail and a reliable work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills Desirable: 6+ years' experience, welding and fabrication skills, knowledge of hydraulic or LOLE R regulations, experience with hooklift or RORO equipmentContact Billy Peasgood, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Huncote and Leicestershire, today to discover more about this fantastic HGV Technician opportunity.
