Art Teaching Assistant - SEMH School
Location: East London, Tower Hamlets
Hours: Full-time

Remedy Education is working with a specialist SEMH school in East London that is looking for an Art Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school.
This role would suit someone creative, confident and experienced in supporting children or young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
The Role
Supporting pupils during Art lessons and creative activities
Working 1:1 and with small groups
Helping pupils remain engaged and regulated in lessons
Supporting behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
Preparing art materials and classroom resources
Working closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team
Requirements
Previous SEMH experience is essential
Experience supporting challenging behaviour
A genuine interest or background in Art
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Calm, resilient and patient approach
