Description
A growing London-based construction and property consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding cost management team. The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will work across a varied portfolio of projects within the capital, including commercial, residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments for private-sector clients.
The Project Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for projects from the early feasibility and cost planning stages through procurement, construction and final account. Working alongside experienced cost and project management professionals, the Project Quantity Surveyor will have regular contact with clients, design teams and contractors, providing commercially focused advice throughout each commission.
This opportunity would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor who already has UK consultancy experience and is ready to take greater ownership of their workload. The consultancy offers a close-knit working environment where individuals are encouraged to develop strong client relationships, broaden their sector experience and progress professionally. A Project Quantity Surveyor seeking exposure to distinctive London property projects and a clear route towards senior-level responsibilities would be well suited to the position.
Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:
Preparing feasibility estimates, cost plans and detailed cost advice
Producing tender documentation and supporting procurement exercises
Managing valuations, variations, change control and final accounts
Providing commercial advice throughout pre- and post-contract stages
Attending client, design team and site meetings
Administering and advising on JCT contracts
Maintaining productive relationships with clients, consultants and contractorsProject Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
Previous UK consultancy or cost management experience
Good understanding of both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties
Experience working with JCT forms of contract
MRICS qualified, working towards chartership, or committed to completing the APC
Confident communication, commercial awareness and client-facing skills
Ability to manage several project responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of workIn Return:
