Shuttering Carpenter Location: Selborne, Hampshire Hours: 50 hours paid per week Start Date: ASAP Duration: Minimum 12 months Job Overview VGC Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join a major infrastructure project based in Selborne, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a large-scale project with a minimum of one year remaining. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of shuttering carpentry works, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Duties and Responsibilities Construct, install, and dismantle shuttering and formwork systems. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Assemble and position formwork for concrete structures. Measure, cut, shape, and fit timber and proprietary formwork systems. Work closely with site management and other trades to meet project deadlines. Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all site health and safety requirements. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Shuttering Carpenter on construction or civil engineering projects. Valid CSCS Card. NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification). Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
