Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 circa + benefits Location: Nottingham / Nottinghamshire An established and highly regarded law firm with three offices across the area is looking to appoint an experienced Legal Cashier to join its busy and friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Legal Cashier who is looking to develop their career within a well-established firm that values accuracy, professionalism and excellent client service. The Role Working as part of the firm's finance function, you will be responsible for a broad range of legal cashiering duties, including: Processing client and office account transactions in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules Posting and allocating receipts and payments Processing electronic payments and transfers Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations Preparing and processing client account transfers Dealing with bills, invoices and office account transactions Assisting with the administration of the firm's client accounts Supporting fee earners and colleagues with cashiers-related queries Ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner Assisting with month-end procedures and general finance duties About You We are looking for someone with previous legal cashiering experience, ideally within a private practice law firm. You will have a good understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and be comfortable working with client money. You will be highly organised, numerate and detail-focused, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a professional, helpful approach are essential. Experience with legal accounting software would be advantageous.
