Buyer Location: St Helens Salary: £35,000 – £45,000, dependent on experience Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next challenge within a specialist, technically-focused business? This is a great opportunity to join a growing company operating within the electrical and mechanical sector, working on a range of high-specification projects. Due to the specialised nature of the work, our client is looking for someone with a genuine understanding of the electrical and mechanical market and the suppliers, products and terminology that come with it. The Role Managing the procurement of electrical and mechanical materials and/or equipment in line with project requirements Negotiating commercial terms and pricing with suppliers, ensuring best value without compromising on quality or lead times Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships across the electrical and mechanical supply chain Processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries in a timely manner Supporting the wider commercial team to ensure materials are procured to programme and specificationAbout You Proven experience as a Buyer within the electrical and/or mechanical sector Strong understanding of relevant products, suppliers and market conditions Confident negotiator with a track record of achieving commercial savings Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal teams alikeIf this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you
