Manual Machinist Are you an experienced Manual Machinist looking for a new opportunity? Do you have strong experience operating manual lathes, with additional turning experience? If so, this could be the ideal role for you. Our client, a well-established engineering company, is looking for a skilled and reliable Manual Machinist to join their team in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manual machining, particularly lathe operation, and a good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining processes. Manual Machinist Permanent position Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE) Monday to Friday Leicestershire Manual Machinist Job Description • Operate manual lathes to manufacture precision engineering components • Set and operate machinery safely and efficiently • Carry out manual turning and other machining operations where required • Work from engineering drawings to produce components to specification • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for machining operations • Inspect finished components using relevant measuring equipment • Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy throughout the machining process • Ensure machinery, tooling, and the work area are maintained to a high standard Manual Machinist Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist • Strong experience operating manual lathes • Manual turning experience would be highly beneficial • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings • Good understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and measurements • Experience using standard workshop measuring equipment • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work • Ability to work independently and as part of a team If you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply
