Senior Healthcare Recruitment Consultant – Gi Group, Galway Location: Galway (hybrid) Contract: Permanent, full-time Salary: Up to 45k plus commission and Award winning benefits About the role We’re hiring an experienced Senior Healthcare Recruitment Consultant to establish, grow and lead a brand-new healthcare recruitment desk in Galway. This is a high-autonomy role for a true 360 recruiter with strong healthcare market knowledge and the drive to build a desk from the ground up. You’ll take full ownership of client development, candidate delivery and desk strategy, with the opportunity to scale the desk and progress into a leadership position as it grows. Key responsibilities Build and manage a new desk including BD, delivery and strategic growth Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from client acquisition through to placement Win new clients across hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and homecare providers Attract and engage nurses, HCAs, allied health professionals and support staff Oversee vetting, documentation, training records and regulatory requirements Provide a high-quality service and grow long-term partnerships Meet and exceed monthly/annual GP targets Support future hiring/mentoring of junior consultants as the desk expands Required experience 5+ years’ agency recruitment experience 2+ years’ healthcare recruitment experience (nursing, social care, AHP, health science services) Proven 360 track record: BD, client management, job intake, sourcing and placements Strong billing performance Experience building or growing a desk is highly desirable Strong knowledge of the Irish healthcare market and compliance Key skills and attributes Entrepreneurial mindset and motivated to build something new Confident in BD (outreach, pitching, winning new clients) Relationship-driven with strong stakeholder management Highly organised; comfortable in compliance-heavy environments Resilient, proactive and thrives in a fast-paced market Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) What we offer Competitive base salary Strong commission structure Autonomy to shape and grow your own desk Clear progression as the desk scales Supportive, collaborative team environment Access to tools, systems and resources to accelerate growth Additional information We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
