PGCE Tutor Flexible Tutoring Opportunities Across West Sussex We're looking for PGCE-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners who require alternative provision. Students may range from primary age through to post-16 and often benefit from a personalised approach that helps build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and improve engagement with learning. Whether your background is in primary, secondary, core subjects, or a specialist subject area, we'd love to hear from you. We're particularly interested in tutors based in or able to support learners in: Crawley Worthing Horsham Chichester Bognor Regis Littlehampton Location: West Sussex Role: PGCE Tutor Start Date: September Hours: Flexible Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour Type: 1:1 Tuition Requirements PGCE qualification Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, learning support, teaching assistance, or similar educational roles Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable Strong communication and relationship-building skills Patient, adaptable, and professional approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex Who You'll Support You'll work with children and young people who may have: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs ADHD Anxiety and school avoidance EHCPs and additional educational needsEvery learner has different strengths and challenges, creating opportunities to deliver truly personalised support and help students achieve positive outcomes.
