Commercial Electrician Location: Bristol and surrounding areas – sites close to home wherever possible Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break The Opportunity Valoris Group Limited is recruiting an experienced Reactive Maintenance and PPM Electrician on behalf of a successful and growing electrical contractor. This is a varied, hands-on position combining EICR testing, fault-finding, reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance across commercial sites. Work will be allocated close to home wherever possible, with excellent overtime rates, door-to-door travel pay and additional allowances when working away. Your Responsibilities * Complete EICRs on commercial electrical installations * Carry out electrical inspection, testing and certification * Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs * Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues and emergency callouts * Undertake PPM work to prevent breakdowns and maintain performance * Identify remedial work and advise clients on the condition of their electrical systems What We’re Looking For * Proven experience in EICRs, electrical testing and inspection * Experience in commercial reactive maintenance and PPM * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities * Good knowledge of current electrical regulations and safety standards * City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent preferred, or a willingness to obtain it * A valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when required What’s in It for You? * Competitive salary reviewed after six months * Door-to-door travel pay * Monthly KPI-based bonus scheme * Overtime paid at time and a half * Double time for weekends and night work * £50 payment for out-of-hours callouts * Double-time door-to-door pay for out-of-hours callouts * £40 allowance for each night spent working away * Fully paid accommodation when working away * Company van, fuel card and personal mileage allowance * Mobile phone, uniform and PPE provided * 21 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing by one day per year up to 25 days You will also benefit from a company pension, regular training, professional development opportunities, six-monthly performance reviews, a £500 employee referral bonus, Employee of the Month recognition and company events.
