Credit Controller Temporary role for a minimum of 6 months Hybrid role Derbyshire based Eaton Syalon are seeking an organised and proactive Credit Controller to join our client on an on-going temporary basis. The role will be temporary for a minimum of 6-months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, resolving customer queries and playing a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow. You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, reducing financial risk and supporting the wider business by ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt. Key Responsibilities: * Manage a portfolio of approximately (Apply online only) customer accounts, ensuring outstanding balances are collected in line with agreed payment terms * Maximise cash collection while maintaining positive customer relationships * Record all customer interactions accurately using the company's credit management system * Assess customer creditworthiness and support effective credit risk management * Monitor customer accounts to identify and minimise the risk of bad debt * Review customer trading activity and manage accounts that exceed agreed credit limits * Work closely with Sales and Distribution teams to resolve account issues and support business growth * Investigate, log and resolve customer account queries in a timely manner * Reconcile customer accounts where required * Process customer card payments and monitor daily banking receipts Person Profile: * Previous experience within a credit control or accounts receivable environment * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills * Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail * Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities * The ability to prioritise workload and meet challenging deadlines * A proactive and adaptable approach to customer service * Confidence working with finance systems and Microsoft Office applications As this role is a temporary position initially, we ask that candidates are available to start immediately or with a short notice period of no more than 1 week.
