Graduate Quantity Surveyor Leeds £28,000 – £30,000 per annum We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Quantity Surveying graduate who is looking to begin their career within the construction industry and gain hands-on commercial experience across live projects. You will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff, receiving full support and training as you develop. Duties will include: * Assisting with cost planning and project budgeting * Preparing and reviewing subcontractor enquiries * Comparing quotations and assisting with subcontractor appointments * Supporting the preparation of valuations and payment applications * Monitoring project costs and expenditure * Assisting with variations and change control * Helping with final accounts * Attending site and commercial meetings * Working closely with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers * General commercial administration across construction projects The ideal candidate: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction discipline * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Good communication and organisational ability * Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * Keen to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying * Previous placement or construction experience would be beneficial but is not essential Package: * £28,000 – £30,000 salary * Full training and development * Excellent career progression * Exposure to a range of construction projects * Support from experienced commercial professionals This is a great opportunity for a Graduate QS looking to join a construction company where they can develop quickly and build a strong commercial career
