Graduate Quantity Surveyor High-End Fit Out & Interiors | Northampton Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 + package, depending on experience Are you a recent Quantity Surveying graduate looking to kick-start your career within a fast-paced, high-quality construction environment? We are working with an establishedspecialist fit-out and interiors contractor delivering high-specification projects across the UK and Europe. The business works across commercial interiors, retail, hospitality, office fit-out, bespoke interiors and joinery, providing an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to gain broad commercial experience from day one. The Role As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the commercial and project teams, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Quantity Surveying team with the commercial management of projects Assisting with the preparation of tenders, estimates and cost plans Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations Assisting with procurement and subcontractor negotiations Preparing and monitoring valuations and payment applications Assisting with variations, change control and cost reporting Supporting the preparation of monthly commercial reports Assisting with forecasting and final accounts Monitoring project costs against budgets Developing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and project teams Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work Maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation Supporting Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers across multiple projects About You We are looking for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded and keen to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying. You will ideally have: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline Some previous placement, internship or construction experience would be advantageous A genuine interest in the commercial side of construction Good numerical and analytical skills Strong attention to detail Good communication and organisational skills The ability to work as part of a team and independently A willingness to learn and develop Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel A full UK driving licence would be advantageous Why This Opportunity?
