Working within the mechanical team to maintain all plant machinery including both proactive planned maintenance and breakdown repair. General Duties & Responsibilities Main Duties Mould Maintenance, including: * Deburring, cleaning and maintaining the mould’s arms and ends * Supervision and optical control of the moulds’ condition * Measuring and controlling the dimensions, form and shape of the moulds * Controlling the appropriate water curtain in each individual mould and the even distribution of the water between the moulds * Controlling and ensuring correct quality of the bottom blocks and the fitted spacers * Housekeeping of moulds and bottom blocks. * In liaison with the Casthouse operators completing mould changes when required * Marking moulds and keeping relative records for the maintenance * Controlling stock items Metal Pump Maintenance, including: * Building and maintaining offline, the mechanical metal pumps for the Casthouse keeping a spare ready for immediate installation by others * Changing the failed parts of the metal pump * Taking care of the full assembly of the pump * Taking care of the housekeeping of all spare parts * Controlling stock items * Keeping accurate records of failures, special events and breakdowns Launder and filter box maintenance, including: * Building, maintaining and preparing offline, launder sections, filter boxes and similar equipment ready for installation by others * Maintaining housekeeping of all spare parts * Controlling stock items * Keeping accurate records of the failures, special events and breakdowns Person Specification Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge Essential Machining skills and confidence using power tools. To be a technically oriented individual. Confidence in using IT systems and computers. Desirable Previous Casting experience. Responsibilities/ Accountability/ KPI’s Essential Deliver all main Duties as described, in a timely manner to maintain seamless production in Casthouse. No stock out issues. Skills Essential Confidence using machining tools for cutting, forming or finishing metals and other materials Personal Qualities To be a self-motivated professional The ability to interact well colleagues and external service providers Working hours 42 hours Days Only: 4 x 12 hour days 6am - 6pm, 4 rest days
