Field Service Engineer (Electrical / AV) London and surrounding areas £35,000 - £40,000 + Company Van + Overtime + Training Looking for a field-based engineering role where every day is different? We're recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join one of the UK's leading specialists in the maintenance and repair of large-format LED displays and digital advertising screens. You'll work on some of the country's most recognisable outdoor digital displays, carrying out fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep high-profile installations operating safely and effectively. No previous digital signage experience is required. If you have experience as a Field Service Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, AV Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Fire & Security Engineer, Installation Engineer, Telecoms Engineer, Service Technician, or a similar hands-on technical role, full product training will be provided. Working independently and alongside remote technical support teams, you'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and perform planned maintenance to ensure equipment remains fully operational. This role will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, working autonomously, and taking ownership of their work. Key Responsibilities Reactive Maintenance & Fault Finding Respond to equipment breakdowns and service requests Diagnose electrical and electronic faults Repair and replace components to minimise downtime Liaise with technical support teams when required Ensure customer issues are resolved efficientlyPlanned Preventative Maintenance Carry out scheduled maintenance visits Inspect electrical and mechanical components Clean and maintain display equipment Identify potential issues before failures occur Complete maintenance reports and documentationSite & Health & Safety Responsibilities Always Work safely and professionally Follow company health and safety procedures Maintain accurate service records Ensure works are completed to high standardsParts & Equipment Management Maintain van stock and spare parts inventory Monitor stock levels and report shortages Return faulty equipment where required Ensure tools and equipment remain serviceableWhat We're Looking For We're open to candidates from a wide range of engineering and technical backgrounds, including: Field Service Engineering Electrical Maintenance AV Installation & Maintenance Fire & Security Systems CCTV Systems Telecoms Engineering Technical Installation Facilities Maintenance Electro-Mechanical Engineering LED Display Systems Digital SignageEssential Requirements Full UK Driving Licence Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience carrying out maintenance and repairs Ability to work independently Good communication and customer service skills Basic IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) Comfortable working at height Flexible approach to travel and working hours when required Strong commitment to health and safetyWho Will Enjoy This Role?
