Position: Workshop Plant Fitter Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 5:00pm Salary: £44,642 Overtime paid at 1.4 An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join a large and reputable plant company. This is a workshop-based role maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing a wide range of heavy plant machinery and equipment, ensuring all machinery is maintained to the highest standards and is safe and fit for purpose. The Role: Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on heavy plant machinery and equipment Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs Complete component rebuilds, strip-downs, and refurbishment of machinery and plant equipment Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools Carry out safety inspections and pre-hire checks Ensure all equipment complies with health and safety regulations and company standards Maintain accurate service and repair recordsThe Ideal Candidate: Professionally recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle/Plant Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent Relevant experience in a similar role within the last 2 years Experience working on heavy plant machinery or similar equipment within a workshop environment Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge Confident with fault finding and diagnostics Full UK driving licence CSCS Card advantageous but not essentialWhat’s on Offer: £44,642 salary Overtime paid at 1.4 Permanent workshop-based position Well-equipped workshop with a varied range of heavy plant machinery Genuine career progression opportunities Company pension contribution Ongoing training and developmentInterested?
