Teacher of Science Prospero Teaching are working closely with a Good Ofsted rated Special Educational Needs School in Hindhead, Surrey, who are looking for a Teacher of Science to join them from September 2026. The school have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional and inspiring Science teacher to join a well-established and high-achieving department in a school where students are well behaved and engaged in their learning. Applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged, with a strong ECT support package available where appropriate. Applications are welcome from ECTs as well as teachers on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) and Upper Pay Scale (UPS). CONTRACT DETAILS Location - Hindhead, Surrey Position - Teacher of Science Contract or position start date - December 2026 Duration / Likely Duration - Permanent Full time/part time - Part time Minimum rate of pay - Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm, plus parent's evenings and department meetings EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS or equivalent Science teaching experience in UK secondary schools (all specialisms considered) Strong subject knowledge across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years Prospero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate: Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management 1:1 interview and trial day preparation from our experienced training and development team and qualified teachers Access to online CPD courses (award-winning upskilling provider - UK Business Awards 2024)
