We are recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a well-established, Bradford-based engineering manufacturer. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, ongoing training, and genuine progression as the company continues to expand following significant recent investment.
The role would suit someone with a trades or practical background, particularly those with experience in painting and decorating, finishing, construction or similar hands-on environments.

Starting pay rate of £13.32 per hour (£27,009 per annum), rising to £13.80 per hour (£27,986 per annum) following successful completion of probation
Overtime paid at time and a half through the week
20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and your birthday off

Applying fibreglass coating to modular buildings using rollers and other hand tools
Preparing surfaces and ensuring coatings are applied evenly and to a high standard
Working from drawings and specifications where required
Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Carrying out finishing and general workshop duties as required
Supporting the wider production team to meet delivery deadlines
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company health & safety proceduresRequirements of the Workshop Operative
Previous experience in a practical, hands-on or trades environment
Background in painting and decorating, construction, joinery, finishing or a similar trade would be beneficial
Comfortable using hand tools and working with your hands
Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
Reliable and able to work effectively within a team
