We are recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a well-established, Bradford-based engineering manufacturer. The role would suit someone with a trades or practical background, particularly those with experience in painting and decorating, finishing, construction or similar hands-on environments. Starting pay rate of £13.32 per hour (£27,009 per annum), rising to £13.80 per hour (£27,986 per annum) following successful completion of probation Overtime paid at time and a half through the week 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and your birthday off Matched contribution pension scheme with salary sacrifice, offering up to 5% contribution Sick pay scheme and death in service benefit with healthcare cash plan and personal accident insurance Working hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm with early finishes on Fridays Genuine progression and development opportunities within a growing businessResponsibilities of the Workshop Operative Applying fibreglass coating to modular buildings using rollers and other hand tools Preparing surfaces and ensuring coatings are applied evenly and to a high standard Working from drawings and specifications where required Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently Carrying out finishing and general workshop duties as required Supporting the wider production team to meet delivery deadlines Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company health & safety proceduresRequirements of the Workshop Operative Previous experience in a practical, hands-on or trades environment Background in painting and decorating, construction, joinery, finishing or a similar trade would be beneficial Comfortable using hand tools and working with your hands Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work Reliable and able to work effectively within a team Willingness to learn new skills and work in a manufacturing environmentIf you think the Workshop Operative position is for you, please click "Apply" or contact Conor Wood at E3 Recruitment
