I am currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in Southwark to join a supportive primary school and provide high-quality support to pupils with additional needs. They are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Southwark who can develop strong relationships with pupils and work closely with teachers and the SEN team. The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Southwark, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning and develop their confidence and independence. The role may involve: 1:1 and small group support Supporting pupils with SEND Helping pupils access the curriculum Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour Communication and social development support Classroom assistance Implementing individual support strategies Personal care where required Role Details 📍 Location: Southwark 📅 Start: September 2026 🕐 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 💷 Salary: Competitive, depending on experience 📚 Role: SEN Teaching Assistant The successful SEN Teaching Assistant in Southwark will ideally have: Previous experience supporting children with SEN Experience working in a primary or educational setting A patient, calm and nurturing approach Excellent communication skills Strong classroom awareness The ability to build positive relationships with pupils A proactive and flexible attitude A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsExperience with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex learning needs would be advantageous.
