We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Vehicle Service Advisor to join our client's reputable commercial vehicle dealership in Cardiff. Key benefits for the Vehicle Service Advisor position include: Starting salary up to £32,598 per annum, increasing to £33,575 after 6 months Access to a commitment bonus of £600 per annum Profit share bonus scheme based on dealership performance Additional earnings through commissions from the sale of service contracts 22 days annual holiday allowance plus 8 bank holidays, increasing to 25 after 5 years, and 27 after 10 years Full manufacturer-accredited training programme Company pension scheme Clear career development opportunities within a long-standing commercial vehicle dealer group Working hours of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 6:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pmDuties for the Vehicle Service Advisor include: Accurately capturing customer details and vehicle faults at the initial point of contact Handling telephone bookings efficiently and inputting information into the workshop system Raising job cards and ensuring all relevant documentation is complete and compliant Keeping customers informed of vehicle repair status throughout the process Managing updates and changes within the customer database Handing over completed vehicles with professional explanations of repairs undertaken Monitoring repair progress and ensuring timely completion  Actively promoting and selling aftersales services, including service contracts Discussing payment options and proactively booking future appointments Providing expert advice on warranties and service requirements Explaining vehicle testing and MOT requirements and arranging inspectionsRequirements for the Vehicle Service Advisor position: Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor within a franchise-approved dealership Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities Organisational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and DMS systems (Kerridge/ADP experience preferred) Full, clean UK driving licence with minimal points Experience in a commercial vehicle dealership is highly desirableThis role is ideal for an experienced Service Advisor seeking a rewarding career within a recognised commercial vehicle dealership.
