They work closely with a range of major customers, providing tailored freight, customs and supply chain solutions.   This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customs and Freight Forwarding professional to take responsibility for key customer accounts, develop long-term relationships and drive operational and commercial performance. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with customers, internal teams and senior management within a professional and fast-paced environment.   Customs Brokerage Supervisor - The Details Competitive salary Established Freight Forwarding and Logistics business Senior-level customer and operational responsibility Opportunity to develop major customer accounts Professional and collaborative working environment Career development opportunities Customs Brokerage Supervisor - Requirements Minimum 5 years' senior-level experience within Freight Forwarding and Customs Strong knowledge of customs procedures, regimes and compliance Extensive experience within the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industry Strong commercial and customer service experience with a proven track record Experience working across international transportation and customs processes Good understanding of import/export processes and supply chain operations Experience managing customer relationships and nominated accounts Strong negotiation and project management skills Good understanding of financial flows within supply chains Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Fluent English language skills; additional languages advantageous Ability to work strategically and tactically within a customer-focused environment Customs Brokerage Supervisor - Responsibilities Manage and develop existing business and relationships across nominated customer accounts Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational activities of named accounts Ensure effective and efficient working practices are maintained with customers Oversee service level agreements and contracts to ensure ongoing customs compliance Prepare and manage extensive customer reporting, including monthly customs reports Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase profitability Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with customers and key stakeholders Attend customer meetings both on and off site to develop relationships and identify opportunities Work closely with supply chain management teams where applicable Monitor customer volumes, revenues and profitability on a monthly basis Act as the internal ambassador for the customer, ensuring their requirements are understood across the business Work collaboratively with internal teams to develop and sell complete logistics and supply chain solutions Identify and maximise opportunities generated through internal sales activities Coordinate activities between customer teams, ensuring consistent operational processes and high levels of customer service Support the implementation of strategic plans and customer development initiatives Organise and manage activities using a project management approach Keep senior management and internal teams informed of customer activity, performance and issues Work within agreed customer and business budget targets Contribute to the development and performance of the wider team Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships Identify opportunities for increased business volume and deeper customer integration Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by branch management About Us   Detail2Recruitment acts as an employment agency in respect of this position.
