Reception Teaching Assistant – Worcester Location: Worcester Year Group: Reception / EYFS Role: General Teaching Assistant Pay: £92.56 – £110 per day PAYE Start: ASAP Contract: Long-term Agency: Distinction Education Ltd Start Your Next Role in Reception Distinction Education is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and dependable Reception Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Worcester. You'll be supporting children at the very beginning of their school journey, helping them develop the early academic, communication and social skills that provide the foundations for future learning. What Does the Role Involve? Working alongside the Reception teacher, you will: * Support children with early phonics and number work * Help with play-based and structured learning * Work with individuals and small groups * Encourage communication and language development * Support children's social and emotional development * Help children develop independence and positive routines * Provide additional support where children need extra help * Contribute to a happy and nurturing Reception environment Do I Need Previous School Experience? Previous Reception, EYFS or primary school experience would be desirable, but we are open to candidates who have developed relevant experience working with children outside of schools. You might currently work, or have previously worked, within a nursery, preschool, childcare setting, children's centre, holiday club, youth organisation, sports coaching environment or another organisation supporting children. We're interested in the experience and transferable skills you can bring to the classroom. If you're nurturing, patient, reliable and have genuine experience working with children, we'd encourage you to apply even if this would be your first Teaching Assistant position within a school.
