Mental Health Assistant / Aspiring Therapist Full-Time | ASAP Start | £95-£105 per day | Didcot Are you a Psychology, Counselling, Education or Criminology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children's emotional wellbeing? A friendly and inclusive primary school in Didcot is looking for a compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join their specialist provision, supporting pupils with a variety of SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Mental Health Assistant to develop practical experience while working alongside experienced teachers, SEN professionals and other specialists. The Role As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support primary-aged pupils who may experience: Autism and ADHD. Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties. Trauma-related behaviours. Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Difficulties with communication, relationships and engagement.You'll help children manage their emotions, develop resilience, build confidence and overcome barriers that may impact their learning and wellbeing. Key Details Role: Mental Health Assistant Location: Didcot Pay: £95-£105 per day Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Ideal for: Psychology, Counselling, Education and Criminology graduates, as well as anyone passionate about supporting children and young people.
