About this position:
We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the restart and finalisation of an ongoing project at a large brewery. The project was previously paused and is now restarting, with the aim of increasing brewhouse capacity and allowing faster filling through the installation of new valve blocks and a dual filling system.
The equipment installation is approximately 90% complete, with the remaining scope focused on mechanical and electrical connections, commissioning, start-up and ramp-up. This role will take ownership of the project through to operational handover.
Job Responsibilities:
* Manage the restart and finalisation of the existing project.
* Supervise the mechanical and electrical connection of valve blocks.
* Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to programme.
* Oversee commissioning, start-up and ramp-up activities.
* Support the implementation and operation of the dual filling system.
* Coordinate between mechanical, electrical and operational teams.
* Monitor project progress, identify issues and drive activities through to completion.
* Ensure all outstanding works are completed and the system is successfully handed over to operations.
Experience Required:
* Previous Project Engineering experience within an industrial environment.
* Strong experience with valve blocks, installation and commissioning.
* Good mechanical and electrical knowledge.
* Proven experience managing and coordinating contractors.
* Experience overseeing commissioning, start-up and ramp-up activities.
* Ability to take ownership of an existing project and drive it through to completion.
* Brewery, food & beverage or process industry experience would be advantageous.
* Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
