Freelance Site Manager - Bank fit out
Location: Woking, Surrey
Start Date: 17th October
Duration: 7 Weeks
Work Pattern: Must be available to work most weekends
Contract Type: Freelance / Self-Employed
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join our team on a bank refurbishment project in Woking. Working directly for a specialist subcontractor, you will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating trades, maintaining programme targets, and ensuring works are delivered safely and to a high standard.
Project Scope
The refurbishment works include:
* Soft strip and enabling works
* Refurbishment of the main banking hall
* Toilet refurbishment works
* Refurbishment of back office areas
* Coordination of subcontractors and specialist trades
* Managing health & safety and site compliance throughout the project
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of the site and workforce
* Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring programme milestones are achieved
* Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
* Monitoring health & safety performance and ensuring compliance with all site procedures
* Managing quality control and snagging processes
* Liaising with the client, project team and other stakeholders
* Maintaining site records, permits and reporting requirements
* Ensuring works are completed on time, safely and to specification
Essential Requirements
To be considered, applicants must hold all relevant Site Management certifications, including:
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* CSCS Black Managers Card
* First Aid at Work Certificate
* Proven experience managing refurbishment projects
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site management procedures
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to commit to the full 7-week programme, including most weekends
