Process Development Scientist Location: Haverhill Salary: circa £40,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm, 36 hours per week Industry: Scientific PureKat Consultancy is recruiting for a Process Development Scientist to join the R&D team for their client based in Haverhill. Your duties as a Process Development Scientist will include: * Designing, planning and conducting hands-on chemical process engineering experiments * Developing practical experimental approaches to investigate process performance * Developing, modifying and troubleshooting experimental setups * Setting up, operating and adapting laboratory equipment * Identifying and resolving issues with equipment * Developing and applying process models * Using modelling approaches to investigate process behaviour * Designing experimental programmes * Supporting the development and implementation of Process Analytical Technology * Analysing and interpreting experimental results * Supporting the transition of laboratory-scale processes * Maintaining high standards of laboratory safety, documentation and data integrity. The ideal candidate for the Process Development Scientist will have: * A BSc, MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline. * Proven practical experience in laboratory-scale chemical process development, including planning and conducting experiments * Hands-on experience setting up, operating, modifying and troubleshooting laboratory equipment. * A sound understanding of chemical engineering principles and unit operations, including mixing, filtration, heating, cooling, pumping, drying and separation * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
