Functional Skills Maths Tutor - Wrexham Location: Wrexham Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an experienced Functional Skills Maths Tutor to support a learner in Wrexham through flexible 1:1 tuition. We are looking for an approachable and resourceful tutor who can break down mathematical concepts, identify areas for development and help the learner build confidence with numeracy. Key Responsibilities Deliver 1:1 Functional Skills Maths tuition Assess areas of strength and development Plan lessons around the learner's needs Break down challenging concepts into manageable steps Encourage confidence and engagement Provide feedback on progress Requirements Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths or equivalent Strong numeracy and Maths knowledge Previous tutoring or teaching experience Experience working with young people Patient and adaptable teaching style Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy
