Location: Handsworth Start Date: ASAP / Negotiable Contract: Long-term / Permanent School: Ofsted-rated 'GOOD' We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced SENDCo to join a welcoming and inclusive school based in Handsworth. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic SEND professional to join a 'GOOD' Ofsted-rated school that is committed to ensuring every pupil receives the support and opportunities they need to thrive. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and developing the school's SEND provision, working closely with pupils, staff, parents/carers and external professionals. The Role Lead and manage the day-to-day SEND provision across the school Support staff in identifying and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND Oversee and monitor EHCPs, SEND support plans and relevant documentation Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice The Ideal Candidate Qualified SENDCo with relevant experience in a school setting Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice Excellent understanding of SEND provision and safeguarding Strong organisational and communication skill Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families If you're an experienced SENDCo looking for your next opportunity in Handsworth, we'd love to hear from you.
