Nursery Operatives – Gilberdyke, HU15We are recruiting Nursery Operatives to join a busy and growing horticultural business based in Gilberdyke, HU15. These are long-term temp-to-permanent opportunities for people who are genuinely looking for a permanent position and want to build a career within a growing team. The role is based across a greenhouse and packing environment working with herbal plants grown for medicinal purposes to support products linked to treating rare epilepsy conditions. The Role Picking and harvesting plants Preparing plants for orders and dispatch Packing plants carefully and efficiently Working across the greenhouse and packhouse Checking plants meet quality standards Following procedures and instructions Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe Working as part of a team to meet daily targets Hours & Pay Monday to Friday 39 hours per week Various shift patterns available Full-time and part-time opportunities Shifts can start from around 6:00am Hours may change seasonally depending on business requirements 30-minute unpaid lunch break £12.85 per hour initially Increased rate once taken on permanently after 12 weeks Hours over 48 per week paid at time and a half Overtime available What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for people who are: Reliable and hardworking Comfortable working in a busy greenhouse and packhouse Flexible with working hours Able to work at an efficient pace with good attention to detail Team players Looking for a long-term opportunity Keen to learn and develop Previous horticultural, greenhouse, production or packing experience is beneficial but not essential.
