An established accountancy practice in Central London is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join its specialist Media team. You will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses, providing accurate bookkeeping, VAT and management reporting, while working closely with clients, managers and Partners. This is a client-facing role offering the opportunity to work with an interesting portfolio of clients across the media, entertainment and creative sectors. Key Responsibilities • Manage a portfolio of clients independently. • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records. • Complete bank, credit card, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations. • Prepare and submit VAT returns. • Liaise directly with clients, providing bookkeeping support and advice. • Work with Sage, Xero, Excel and other accounting systems. • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and queries. • Assist with management reporting, budgeting and cash flow forecasting. • Support and mentor junior team members. About You • 5+ years' bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice. • Strong technical bookkeeping, accounting and VAT knowledge. • Experience managing a client portfolio. • Excellent communication and client relationship skills. • Strong knowledge of Sage, Xero and Microsoft Excel. • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. • Proactive, commercially minded and confident resolving issues. • Professional, discreet and comfortable handling confidential information. • Media and entertainment experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
