Location: Newport, South Wales Job Type: Contract – CIS Duration: 12 Months Start: Immediate / Short Notice Key Talent Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Site / Setting Out Engineer for a 12-month civil engineering project in Newport, South Wales. This is a hands-on site-based position requiring an engineer who can work independently and has strong setting out experience across groundworks, reinforced concrete and steel frame construction. Key Responsibilities * Setting out for groundworks, foundations and drainage * Setting out reinforced concrete and steel frame elements * Carrying out surveys and producing accurate as-built records * Working confidently with Leica TS16 * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Completing QA/QC checks and maintaining site engineering records * Raising and assisting with RFIs where required * Using AutoCAD for drawings and site information * Liaising with site management and subcontractors Requirements * Minimum 5 years' Site/Setting Out Engineering experience * Strong hands-on setting out capability * Proven groundworks and foundations experience * Proven reinforced concrete and steel frame experience * Strong working knowledge of Leica TS16 * Civil Engineering degree or equivalent * Valid CSCS card * Good AutoCAD knowledge * Strong QA/QC and as-built experience * Able to work independently on site * Own laptop * Driving licence * Available immediately or at short notice This is a 12-month CIS contract offering good continuity for an experienced engineer
