Principal Electronics & Software Engineer | Cambridge | £55-75k DOE | Hybrid My client is developing advanced deep tech solutions and has an opportunity to join as a Principal Electronics & Software Engineer on their experienced team Overview You'll be joining a truly multidisciplinary team with no shortage of projects working on highly complex engineering challenges. The role will focus on advanced R&D solving real-world problems, and involve some mentorship of top junior and undergrad engineers. Your responsibilities * Work as part of the R&D team on client assignments in multi-disciplinary projects * Design and implement systems for deep tech applications & products * Take advantage of opportunities to develop your technical design skills for analogue and digital hardware, information engineering, embedded software, control, communications and whole product design * Interact with stakeholders, both technical & non-technical to discuss ongoing projects & requirements About you We’re looking for applicants with the following experience or skills: * An 2:1 or above degree, or PhD in a relevant discipline * Prior industrial experience in at least one of the following areas, and enthusiasm for learning about the others: * Software implementation in C, C++, Rust, or a similar programming language * PCB design * Digital electronics (processors, memory, DSP, Verilog, VHDL) * Analogue electronics (general, interfaces, RF, power) Benefits * Comprehensive private medical cover, including eye care, private facilities, and insurance * Competitive pension * Access to training & development, and paid membership to engineering organisations * Holiday buy schemes, enhanced parental leave, and competitive paid leave options Do you feel like you're not getting exposure to enough emerging & deep technologies?
