Freelance Civils Supervisor – Crook, County Durham Location: Crook, County Durham Position: Civils Supervisor Contract: Freelance Duration: Long-term Start: ASAP Linear Recruitment are currently working with an established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Civils Supervisor on a freelance basis for a civils scheme in Crook, County Durham. The Role Supervising day-to-day civils works on site. Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives. Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the programme. Monitoring progress and reporting to the Site Manager/Project Manager. Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and RAMS. Managing site activities and coordinating plant, labour and materials. Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping. Supporting the Site Management team with the successful delivery of the project. Carrying out daily briefings and ensuring site teams understand the required works and safe systems of working. About You The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Civils Supervisor / Foreman / Chargehand. Strong experience within civil engineering and groundworks. A good understanding of site operations, sequencing and construction programmes. SSSTS certification as a minimum. Relevant CSCS card. Strong communication and leadership skills. The ability to confidently manage subcontractors and site operatives. A proactive approach to health & safety and quality. What's on Offer?
