If you're an experienced Forklift Engineer who enjoys working independently, solving problems at customer sites and having the freedom of a mobile role, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. We're looking for an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join an established business on a permanent basis. You'll receive a fully expensed company van, specialist tools, enhanced overtime rates and excellent benefits - with minimal trips back to the depot. In fact, you'll typically only need to visit the depot once or twice a week to collect parts. What's in it for you? £34,000 - £38,000 salary, depending on experience Fully expensed company van Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Company mobile phone Workwear provided Specialist tools provided where required Company pension Private medical insurance Permanent, full-time position Predominantly field-based Minimal depot visits - typically 1-2 times per weekThe Role As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you'll travel to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on forklift trucks and materials handling equipment. You'll be trusted to manage your own workload and will have the support of the depot when parts or additional assistance are required. Your responsibilities will include: Servicing and maintaining forklift trucks at customer sites Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs Completing inspections and service documentation Managing your own daily workload and customer appointments Ordering and collecting parts when required Providing a professional service to customers Maintaining a high standard of workmanshipWhat we're looking for Forklift truck engineering experience is essential. We're looking for someone who has hands-on experience servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and is confident working independently in a field-based environment. You'll need: Previous experience working on forklift trucks - ESSENTIAL Experience as a Forklift Engineer, Forklift Technician or Materials Handling Engineer Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Hydraulic experience would be advantageous The ability to diagnose and repair faults independently A full, clean UK driving licence Good communication and customer service skills A reliable and professional approach Flexibility to work overtime when required INDCP If you would like to know more about this position, then please forward your CV to (url removed) immediately.
