Freelance Assistant Site Manager Location: County Durham Project: New Build Housing Development Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience Linear Recruitment are currently working with a well-established housebuilder who are looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Assistant Site Manager to join a new build housing development in County Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join an established site team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-quality residential development. The Role Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management and coordination of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site trades Monitoring progress against the programme Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks Maintaining strong health & safety standards across the site Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics Attending site meetings and providing progress updates Ensuring relevant site documentation and records are maintained Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to ensure programme targets are achieved About You The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build housing developments Strong knowledge of residential construction and build processes Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities A strong understanding of health & safety and quality requirements SMSTS  CSCS First Aid Excellent communication and organisational skills The ability to work effectively as part of an established site team
