Location: London Distribution Park, Tilbury Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 per annum, depending on experience Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30 Contract: Temp to Perm Role Overview We are currently recruiting for a AC Engineer to join a facilities maintenance team based in Tilbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and HVAC assets, ensuring equipment is maintained safely, efficiently and in line with contractual and statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on AC and mechanical assets across site. * Attend and rectify mechanical faults and breakdowns. * Complete mechanical remedial works as required. * Carry out PPM tasks in accordance with company schedules and contractual requirements. * Ensure all planned maintenance is completed to a high professional standard. * Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair or replacement requirements. * Produce technical and situational reports where required. * Accurately update maintenance systems and digital records following completed works. * Use company-provided technology and CAFM systems to maintain compliance with contractual obligations. * Escalate significant faults, incidents or site issues to the relevant Line Manager promptly. * Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures. * Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are maintained safely and appropriately. Required Skills & Qualifications * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration or Air Conditioning. * Valid F-Gas certification. * Hot Water Systems and Safety / G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification. * Water Regulations qualification. * Good knowledge of L8 / Legionella awareness and compliance. * PASMA certification. * IPAF certification. * Full UK Driving Licence. * Ability to obtain or hold a clear DBS. Experience * Commercial HVAC maintenance. * Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). * Reactive maintenance and fault finding. * Mechanical building services. * Air conditioning systems. * Hot water systems. * Commercial facilities maintenance environments. * Working independently on a client site. * Completing maintenance records and compliance documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC Engineer looking for a permanent position within a large commercial facilities environment, offering a Monday-to-Friday working pattern and a salary of up to £48,000 per annum
