Trident Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer, Setter & Operator to join a well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller who is confident taking components from engineering drawing through to finished part, working across both 3-Axis and 5-Axis CNC milling machines. The Role You will be responsible for: * Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines * Working across 3-Axis and 5-Axis machining * Programming using Fanuc, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol controls * Producing one-off and small-batch precision components * Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings * Selecting tooling, speeds and feeds * Carrying out in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment * Working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards * Supporting continuous improvement and reducing machining cycle times Requirements We are looking for candidates with: * Strong CNC milling experience * Programming, setting and operating capability * Experience with 3-Axis and/or 5-Axis CNC machinery * Knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazatrol * Experience within a subcontract precision engineering environment * Ability to work independently from engineering drawings * Good understanding of tooling, workholding and machining processes Package Up to £25.00 per hour, depending on experience Day shift Overtime opportunities Permanent position Established subcontract engineering environment If you're an experienced CNC Miller in the Gloucester / Gloucestershire area looking for a programming-focused position, apply today or contact Cameron at Trident Recruitment for further information
