12.00 – 20.00 My client is a fast growing logistics business with a network of 11 sites in the UK currently with further expansion plans on the horizon.. You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same. Due to further expansion they are seeking a Network Transport Planner to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated and ambitious and looking to build a career. Responsibilities * Planning deliveries and collections via the pallet network , using TMS but manual planning experience also required * Maximising the use of 30 vehicles daily in the most cost effective and efficient way * Maintaining regular contact with drivers * Ensuring customers are updated on any delays or issues * Supporting the customer service team with day to day customer contact * Working in conjunction with other internal departments such as customer service and compliance * Liaising with sub contractors and agencies if required Skills required * Previous transport planning experience / pallet network an advantage * Strong Uk geographical knowledge * Understanding of WTD and drivers legislation * Strong communication skills * Resilience * Able to deal with complaints * Solution driven * Strong IT skills Working hours Monday – Friday 12.00 – 20.00 Benefits include * 22 days holiday +bank holidays * Life Assurance * Employee Assistance Programme * Lifestyle benefits/discounts * Pension scheme * Excellent working environment
