Have a CNC or engineering background but want to move further into tooling? Got some tooling experience but need more training? Looking for a role where you can develop your skills and build a long-term career?   We're looking for a Tooling Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for preparing, building and inspecting CNC tooling, keeping the tooling area organised and making sure the right tooling is available when the shop floor needs it.   And importantly, you don't need to know everything from day one - full training can be provided for the right person.   Benefits: Salary up to £34,000 depending on experience 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 4pm finish Full training and development available Opportunity to build specialist tooling knowledge Work closely with experienced Engineering, Programming and Quality teams Stable manufacturing environment Opportunity to develop your career within engineering  Duties/Responsibilities: Building CNC tooling to specification Checking tooling using a tool presetter Inspecting tool condition and runout Recording and signing off tool builds Maintaining the tool build area and keeping it organised Managing tooling stock and raising shortages Re-grinding and dressing worn tooling where required Working closely with Programming, Engineering, Production and Quality Completing relevant paperwork and documentation Skills/Experience required:   You don't need to be a fully trained Tooling Technician — we're happy to train someone with the right background and attitude. Ideally, you'll have: Experience within a CNC, machining or engineering environment Some knowledge of cutting tools and/or tool holding Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately A methodical and organised approach Good communication skills Basic IT and documentation skills A willingness to learn and develop  Experience using a tool presetter or re-grinding carbide tooling would be beneficial, but training can be provided.   If you've got the engineering background and want to develop your tooling skills, we'd like to hear from you.   #IND-BRM-PRM
