Additional Resourced Provision (Full Time)  HLTA – New Forest Location: Lymington Start Date: Oct 2026 Contract: Long-Term (potentially permanent) Institution: KS3/4 with a heavy SEND and pastoral focus   Pay: £88.50-£110 per day  About the Role We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with SEND experience to work with those with additional needs which may include escalated behaviour and avoidant learning within an Additional Resourced Provision in a Secondary School. This rewarding role involves supporting students with additional needs both 1:1 and in small group settings, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential. The Additional Resourced Unit supports students to learn regulatory skills and access learning in a supportive environment in order to reintroduce them to the mainstream classrooms. This would be a great role for a previous teacher looking to take a step away from teaching.  About the School The school is recognised as a “Good” school that has an excellent reputation for inclusion. Trusting rapports and consistent adult support is key to success. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with autism and other additional needs. Assist small groups of students in accessing lessons and structured activities. Created trusting and respectful relationships with pupils and their families Be able to signpost families to additional support outside the school Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs. Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans. Monitor progress and maintain accurate records. Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners. Requirements Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or HLTA experience/ qualified  Previous experience supporting students with autism or additional needs Strong understanding of autism, ADHD, and associated learning/behavioural needs. Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young people. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents. Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality practices. Enhanced DBS check (support available if required). Benefits Competitive salary (£85 – £110 per day, depending on experience).
