MK-Search are currently supporting a leading international engineering and construction contractor with the appointment of an experienced MEP Manager for a major data centre project in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The business is acting in a full General Contractor capacity on the project and requires an experienced MEP professional to take overall responsibility for the technical and engineering coordination of the MEP package. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MEP Manager from the UK, Europe or Middle East to join a well-established international contractor delivering a growing portfolio of mission-critical projects. The Role The MEP Manager will take overall responsibility for the MEP technical and engineering aspects of the project, working closely with the Project Manager and leading the coordination between engineering, BIM/design, construction, commercial, procurement and commissioning teams. Key responsibilities will include: * Overall management and coordination of MEP engineering activities across the project. * Managing Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineers and coordinating with BIM and Design teams. * Reviewing project designs, specifications and tender/handover documentation. * Managing design development, shop drawings, technical submittals, RFIs and engineering deliverables. * Identifying technical, design and constructability risks and ensuring these are resolved ahead of construction. * Coordinating specialist subcontractors, equipment suppliers and MEP interfaces. * Working closely with construction teams to ensure installations are delivered in accordance with the approved design. * Managing MEP coordination and supporting clash detection and resolution with the BIM team. * Providing technical input into procurement, commercial variations and change management. * Supporting QA/QC and commissioning teams throughout installation, testing and handover. * Managing as-built information, O&M documentation and client training requirements. * Monitoring engineering progress against the overall project programme. * Providing technical leadership and mentoring to the project engineering team. Requirements * Minimum 10 years' experience within construction/engineering. * Previous data centre project experience is required. * Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. * Previous experience managing MEP engineering and technical coordination on major construction projects. * Strong understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical systems and their interfaces. * Experience managing multidisciplinary engineers and coordinating with BIM/design and construction teams. * Previous Middle East experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
