About Us Serencroft Care Homes is an independent care provider operating five residential and nursing homes across England, including Gable Court in Romford. We are CQC-regulated and B Corp certified, and we work in partnership with NHS commissioners and local universities to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. We are looking for an experienced, values-led Home Manager to lead Gable Court and build on its position as a safe, high-quality home for residents and a great place to work for staff. The Role As Home Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, operational performance and quality of care at Gable Court, acting as the home's CQC Registered Manager. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team, manage the home's budget and resources, and be the driving force behind a culture of safe, compassionate, person-centred care — working closely with residents, families, commissioners and the wider Serencroft leadership team. Key Responsibilities * Act as the home's CQC Registered Manager, holding responsibility for regulatory compliance and statutory notifications * Lead, motivate and develop the home's staff team, including recruitment, supervision, appraisal and performance management * Ensure compliance with CQC fundamental standards and all relevant health and social care legislation * Drive continuous improvement in care quality and safety, working towards and maintaining strong CQC ratings * Manage the home's budget, occupancy and resources effectively * Oversee care planning, risk assessment and safeguarding practices across the home * Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, NHS commissioners, local authorities and other stakeholders * Lead on internal audits, external inspections and quality assurance processes * Champion Serencroft's values and B Corp commitments in the day-to-day running of the home * Report regularly to the senior leadership team on performance, quality and compliance What We're Looking For * Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a CQC-regulated care or nursing home — essential * NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards equivalent qualification) * Track record of leading a care home to strong CQC outcomes * Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding practices and relevant health and social care legislation * Excellent leadership, communication and people-management skills * Right to work in the UK * Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check What We Offer * A competitive salary of £60,000 – £65,000 per annum * A senior leadership role within a growing, values-led, B Corp certified care group * A supportive value led team environment * The opportunity to shape the future of a well-established home within the Serencroft group * Blue Light Card Eligibility * Competitive bonus scheme How to Apply To apply, please submit your CV.
