Description

We are looking for experienced and reliable Locum SHOs to support clinical teams across various hospital departments. The successful candidate will provide safe, effective and patient-centred care while working closely with Consultants, Registrars, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities * Assess, examine and manage patients within the appropriate level of clinical competence. * Take patient histories, perform clinical examinations and develop initial management plans. * Request and review appropriate investigations. * Prescribe medication safely and in accordance with local guidelines. * Recognise deteriorating patients and escalate concerns promptly to senior clinicians. * Participate in ward rounds, clinical handovers and multidisciplinary team discussions. * Maintain accurate and timely patient records. * Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and healthcare professionals. * Work flexibly across different departments and multiple sites where required. * Follow all relevant clinical governance, safeguarding, infection control and patient confidentiality requirements. Essential Requirements * Recognised medical qualification. * Current GMC registration with a licence to practise. * Relevant experience working at SHO level or equivalent. * Good clinical, communication and teamwork skills. * Appropriate mandatory training and occupational health clearance. * Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights and weekends where required. Right to Work in the UK Candidates must already have a valid right to work in the UK appropriate for the role. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and no Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) will be provided. Desirable * Previous NHS experience. * Previous locum experience. * Familiarity with NHS clinical and electronic patient record systems. * ALS certification or other relevant life-support training. * Flexibility to work across multiple hospital sites
