What We Offer Flexible working opportunities to suit your schedule Roles within SEND schools, specialist provisions, and inclusive mainstream schools Opportunities to support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties Competitive daily rates of pay Weekly pay Ongoing support from a friendly and experienced education recruitment team Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements Access to CPD and SEND-focused training opportunities Your Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development Implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs Support pupils during classroom activities, breaktimes, and school outings where required Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and SEND policies at all times Requirements Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable Experience within a school, care, residential, youth work, or support setting is advantageous Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs is beneficial A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Ideal Candidates Will Have Experience supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis An understanding of EHCPs and individual learning needs A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations A commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all pupils
