This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting the Production Manager and leading a designated team to achieve high standards across safety, quality, cost, delivery and people development. MODIG Senior Team Leader Permanent Salary – Dependent on experience Derby MODIG Senior Team Leader Job Description · Support the Production Manager with the efficient running of the production area, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring effective communication across the production process. · Lead designated teams to meet customer requirements across quality, cost and delivery, while supporting the achievement of key OTIF targets. · Coordinate daily production activities and effective shift handovers using the SQCDP framework, escalating issues where required. · Promote continuous improvement across manufacturing processes, productivity, quality, safety, environmental and energy performance. · Manage team performance, development, training, conduct and attendance while maintaining relevant systems and working to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 standards. MODIG Senior Team Leader Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications · Previous experience in a team leader, supervisor or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment. · Strong communication skills with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback and facilitate effective solutions. · A structured and proactive approach to planning production requirements and consistently meeting customer deadlines. · Commercial awareness and the ability to make decisions that support quality, cost and on-time, in-full delivery. · A positive, motivated ‘can-do’ attitude with a strong focus on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and team development. MODIG Senior Team Leader Key Performance Responsibilities · Achieve team targets across quality, cost and delivery while ensuring customer requirements are consistently met. · Ensure team members are trained, flexible and appropriately skilled to respond to changing production and customer requirements. · Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and environmental performance within the team. · Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, quality, health and safety and energy efficiency. · Maintain training and skills matrices, TPM checks, PDRs and people-management processes in line with company requirements. MODIG Senior Team Leader SQCDP Responsibilities · Safety – Promote near-miss reporting, hazard identification and the effective use of 6S principles. · Quality – Promote root cause analysis (RCA) when non-conformances are identified. · Cost – Drive productivity and efficiency improvements to achieve cost targets. · Delivery – Ensure production is completed in line with WTLs and customer requirements. · People – Maintain training standards, identify skill gaps and support cross-training and development within the team.
