Premises Officer – Wandsworth Education First | Wandsworth | £20–£30 per hour | Immediate Start | Secondary School Premises Officer Opportunity – Wandsworth Education First is looking for a reliable, proactive and experienced Premises Officer to join a secondary school in Wandsworth. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, with a two-hour break during the day. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the school's buildings, grounds and facilities, ensuring the school remains safe, secure and well maintained. The Role As a Premises Officer, your responsibilities may include: * Opening and securing the school site * Carrying out daily checks of the school buildings and grounds * Ensuring the site is safe, clean and well maintained * Identifying and reporting maintenance issues * Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance where appropriate * Monitoring heating, lighting and other building systems * Supporting contractors and external maintenance teams * Managing deliveries and access to the school site * Maintaining site security and responding to any issues * Setting up and moving furniture and equipment when required * Supporting school events and activities * Following health and safety and safeguarding procedures What We're Looking For We're keen to hear from candidates who have: * Previous premises, facilities or site management experience * Experience working within a school or similar environment * Good practical maintenance skills * Strong health and safety awareness * Excellent organisational and communication skills * A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues * The ability to work independently and as part of a team * A reliable and professional approach * A commitment to maintaining a safe environment for pupils and staff Experience working within a secondary school environment would be desirable.
