£22\.20 per hour PAYE \| 37 hours per week \| Mainly Remote Lynx Employment Services is recruiting for an experienced Housing Advice & Prevention Officer to join the Housing Needs Team at East Suffolk Council. This role is ideally suited to someone with local authority housing and homelessness experience who is confident assessing homelessness applications and making and writing homelessness decisions. ### The role You will be working within the Housing Needs Team, providing housing advice and homelessness prevention support. The successful candidate will need experience of: Assessing homelessness applications Providing housing advice and homelessness prevention support Writing homelessness decisions Working within a local authority housing team Applying Parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act Managing housing/homelessness cases Using housing case-management systems – Civica experience is particularly desirable ### Contract details Location: East Suffolk Rate: £22.20 per hour PAYE / £30.00 per hour Umbrella Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: 28 September 2026 – 31 January 2027 IR35: Inside IR35 Working arrangement: Mainly home-based/remote, with some face-to-face team meetings DBS: Basic DBS required Interview: Teams Previous local authority homelessness experience is important for this position.
