An established accountancy practice in Eastbourne is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Manager to join its growing team. Working closely with the Partner, you will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee a team of staff and play a key role in maintaining high standards across accounts, taxation and client service. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience within practice, who is confident working independently and managing a team. The Role • Work closely with the Partner and provide cover when required • Manage and develop a portfolio of clients • Review and finalise accounts, tax returns, letters and fees • Deal with client and HMRC correspondence and queries • Provide general tax and accounting advice to clients • Assist with advisory work including forecasts, management accounts and incorporations • Oversee team workflow, workload and deadlines • Supervise, train and support team members • Manage attendance and holiday arrangements • Maintain strong and professional client relationships • Use accounting and tax software including Xero, CCH, Excel and Word About You • ACA or ACCA qualified • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience within accountancy practice • Previous experience supervising, training or managing staff • Strong accounts and taxation knowledge • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills • Well organised with good time-management skills • Able to work independently and take responsibility • Good IT and accounting software skills • Professional, approachable and commercially aware Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment.
